A lovely sunny day with an early 6am start at Loch Garten for the Capercaillie watch. Having seen one briefly and distantly and having gone for a walk in Abernethy Forest it was back to the hotel for breakfast. We then went up CairnGorm for the second day in a row. We had seen Ptarmigan yesterday but got much better views today. You could see for at least 60 miles from the top.

16/4/2014 We drove from Fort William to Aviemore. We stopped at various places en route. We saw Ben Nevis, the caledonian Canal, Slavonian Grebes at loch Ruthven and Red Grouse along the road to Farr.

We got the ferry from Tobermory to Kilchoan on the Ardnamurchan peninsula. We visited the  Ardnamurchan Lighthouse and saw a pair of Golden Eagles on our journey towards the Corran ferry.

Before the ferry trip to Mull I was able to get a few pictures of the Black Guillemots that nest in the harbour walls in Oban. Lismore Lighthouse was seen from the ferry. A couple of interesting vans seen in Tobermory.

1/4/2014 Good day out to see Luton play at Dartford. Losing one nil with 10 minutes to go Luton scored 2 late goals to stay 13 points ahead of Cambridge United at the top of the Conference. On our way back to the Football League. The attendance was 2869 with 1828 from Luton. Click on video link for lap of honour at end of game.
