There were 2 or 3 Otters along the river early morning at Santon Downham. One came very close to me but was unfortunately obscured by reeds. There were several Woodlark nearby.

Thetford Forest
First destination for the day was Lynford Arboretum. On a rather nice sunny but quite cold morning I saw a Hawfinch within a few minutes of arrival along with a couple of Brambling, Marsh Tits and Siskins. I then went to Mayday Farm and saw about 9 Woodlark. Here are a few photos of Woodlark taken today.
Roller Before Breakfast 26/5/2013
An early morning trip to Broxhead Common in Hampshire to see a Roller today. Left the house at 5.15am and had seen the bird by 6.30am. Back home by 9am for breakfast. I have added a few pictures of the Roller but they don’t do such a colourful bird justice as it was quite distant. There were also 3-4 Woodlark in the same area.
