A visit to Willow Tree Fen LWT to see the Red Footed Falcon. When I arrived it was showing very well, perched and hunting from fence posts next to the entrance track.

RSPB Frampton Marsh
My first visit to this RSPB reserve and I am sure it won’t be my last. Curlew Sandpiper and Little Stint were the best birds but were too distant for any photos.

White Storks
On a bike ride from Bruges to Sluis (which we later realised was in Holland) we saw a few White Storks.
In Bruges
A few days in Bruges with the family. Second time we have been there. A nice place to visit. We also managed a bike ride where we ended up in Holland without even realising we had crossed the border.
York & The Stranglers
The shortest street in York with the longest name.
We went up York Minster the largest gothic cathedral in Northern Europe.
We went to see The Stranglers who were playing in York at Fibbers. I first saw The Stranglers in 1977 at The California Ballroom, Dunstable.
Montagu’s Harrier
On the way to York I popped into Blacktoft Sands RSPB to see the Montagu’s Harriers again. Got some slightly better photos.
Bonaparte’s Gull
A trip out to Oare Marshes in Kent for the Bonaparte’s Gull, presumably a returning bird as I have seen one there before. Lots of birds at this nice bird reserve in the Thames Estuary.
Black Tailed Godwits
Chobham Common
An evening trip out to Chobham Common in Surrey to look for Nightjar. One or two were seen as well as a nice sunset. An interesting place, dissected by the M3 and not far off the flightpath to Heathrow Airport but good for wildlife.
Melodious Warbler
20/6/2015 Near Henley on Arden, Warwickshire. Often obscured but continuously singing in the rain.
