11/01/2015 Went for a long walk on Sunday. From the golf course,up to Dunstable Downs, down Isle of Wight Lane and then on to Kensworth via various footpaths some of which I have never been on before. Walked around most of the perimeter of Kensworth Quarry which is a lot bigger than I had thought. A four hour walk. Best birds seen were several Red Kites, Buzzards, 2 displaying Raven, a flock of Golden Plover, Yellowhammers and a Green Woodpecker.
The Boxing Day game was away at Wycombe Wanderers. The attendance was 7539 with over 2500 Luton supporters there. Wycombe scored in the third minute, Luton equalised in the eighth minute. It was quite an entertaining game that either side could have won. A draw was probably a fair result.
Another away game and another defeat unfortunately. It was a good weekend however as we stayed a couple of nights. Most of the 700+ Luton supporters seemed to visit the Eric Morecambe statue and there were quite a few dressed up as Eric. The statue had only been put up again two days before the match as someone had tried to steal it by sawing through one of its legs.
My second away game of the season and the second defeat I have seen. These are the only games we have lost away this season. Big pork pies and a decent pint. Luton should have got at least a point.
A good day out although the most competitive match was probably the Shove Ha’penny in the pub before the game.

A nice morning in Norfolk at Burnham Overy Staithe to see the Spectacled Warbler that has been present for a few days. Seen very well singing and displaying.

25/5/2014 Nice day in the New Forest followed by a walk down Hurst Point to the lighthouse and Castle. Some good birds seen in the New Forest included Wood Warbler, Goshawk, 2 Hawfinch, Woodcock and Dartford Warbler.
